Happy Birthday Gemini, Communicator of the Zodiac!

Gemini is a mutable air sign ruled by Mercury (communication, curiosity).

Gemini is known for its skills of communication – yet there are times when Gemini rants, raves and runs on, leaving listeners wondering what exactly Gemini is talking about! Because Gemini needs to communicate, it will often give you the benefit of its stream of consciousness and its in the moment process of comparison and decision-making.

 

The Weekly Weather --

Hot Spots – Tuesday 6/8/04, Wednesday 6/9/04, Thursday 6/10/04, Friday 6/11/04, Saturday 6/12/04. On 6/8/04 –It’s a big week and today is the very rare transit of Venus across the disk of the Sun; the last one took place in 1882 (described in SkyWatch). In Gemini, this Venus needs a free flow of communication about the balance of energy and power in relationships and the balance in the values you support and what place they have on the priority list. On 6/9/04 – many Moon aspects, including a square to Pluto and a connection to Mars, can mean a feisty or energetic day with moody and subtle overtones and even soulful messages, provided you are receptive.  On 6/10/04 – Uranus makes its retrograde station, so expect things to be somewhat topsy-turvy and possibly even shocking or surprising. Uranus brings awareness and consciousness but often in an undiluted and extreme way.  On 6/11/04, the Sun makes its annual opposition to Pluto and, combined with the other major planetary happenings this week, can produce events that are potent and have a big impact. On 6/12/04 – both Venus and Mercury make flowing trines (120deg.) to Neptune, lord of the seas, magic, illusion, illumination, and soulful expression. And, Mercury and Venus conjunct each other, most likely gossiping and exchanging information about Neptune’s whisperings. Find ways to be inspired, to have faith, and to believe in the goodness of life and your role in it.

 

Planetary Lineup:

Sun-Gemini, Mercury-Gemini, Venus Rx-Gemini, Mars-Cancer, Jupiter-Virgo, Saturn-Cancer, Uranus- Rx (by 6/10/04) Pisces, Neptune Rx-Aquarius, Pluto Rx-Sagittarius. (Rx means retrograde – apparent backward motion of a planet along the Zodiac as seen from the Earth.)

(Since the Moon moves quickly, staying only 2½ days in each sign, it is not included in the tally -- the Moon moves through each element 3 times per month). Air placements lead, followed closely by Water. Our rational ideas and concepts are being challenged by the softer values of forgiveness, compassion, and understanding and also by the emotional quirks we human beings naturally exhibit in the complex situations in which we manage to land ourselves. Earth and Fire are tied with 1 placement each. The normal consistency and durability of Earth is challenged, making for doubt and insecurity and with a lack of Fire, our overall productivity and energy are affected. The question is, can our ideas save us and bring us the security and comfort we seek? The predominant signs occupied are airy Gemini (3), watery Cancer (2), earthy Virgo (1), watery Pisces (1), airy Aquarius (1), and fiery Sagittarius (1). Gemini and Cancer are the predominant Air/Water combination, indicating a plethora of ideas and information on the one hand and the strong need to maintain a secure and comfortable lifestyle for ourselves and our close loved ones on the other. There are 6 planets in all 4 Mutable signs (Virgo/Pisces/Sadge/Gemini) – this is information overload and a feeling of being pulled in too many directions, having too many choices, too many decisions to make with conflicting feelings and information. There is 1 planet in 1 Fixed sign (Aquarius). One Fixed sign combined with 6 Mutables contributes to a feeling of instability and restlessness. There are 2 planets in a single Cardinal sign (Cancer). Quality of life and protection of family and loved ones remain strong values.  Whew!
